Our pastor, Mike Powell, takes us through God’s word one book at a time as we study the timeframe, the narrative as well as how to apply it to our lives and the great commision. Our church services are very casual, we offer both gospel hymns and contemporary praise songs during our worship time. We put on events like our Friendship Sunday, Senior Graduates Service and Fellowship Meals for the whole community as well as hosting the Harris Chapel Graveyard Service.

Our Radiate Youth Group meets on Wednesday night with their youth minister Chris Keating and his co-sponsor Nicole Ellison. They dive deep into the bible and learn how to apply God’s Word to their lives and share the gospel with their friends and at school. They go to Pineywoods camp every summer and have a winter retreat at Camp Bethany. They volunteer during VBS week to help in any way we need. They put on a Chili-Cookoff each year as their big fundraiser with a dessert auction. They have a huge back to school bash and a summer pool party as well as many other events like concerts that they attend throughtout the year.

SonShine Kids (1st -5th Grade) meet on Wednesday nights during the school year. They have had several field trip activities and have gone to summer camps. They have hosted block parties and back to school bashes. We have VBS each year with spectacular themes and our amazing Mrs. Keri as our leader. We have children’s Sunday school classes (at 9:45am) and we offer Children’s Church during our Sunday Worship services (following the music and just before the sermon begins). At Easter our church has an egg hunt with a message during our Sunday School time and a special Children’s Church service.

Our Men’s Group has helped with everything from building the press box and painting the concessions for the Little League Baseball park to walking the area roads to clean up around the community. They help with VBS builds as well as Christmas Stockings for our local kids. They have also put on fishing tournaments and have held fish-frys for our church.

Our women help cook meals for every night of VBS, prepare food for funerals, Wednesday nights meals and meals for BSM at Panola College during the year. They prepare holiday food baskets for those that are econically disadvantaged in our community and have even done shoe box ministries. Our youth student’s have helped cleanup after storms and with all of the things our men and women do, as well as setting up for events and holidays.
