I would like for you to Receive

God’s Gift of Eternal Life.  

Welcome to our Mt. Zion Baptist Church web page! We are glad you are here and hope you’ll come again! Our church is a gathering of struggling believers who believe that Jesus Christ has saved us. Saved us from what? The Bible gives multiple answers. 

†  Jesus Christ saves us from the wrath of God! All have sinned and fall short of God’s glory, and because God is holy, He will not tolerate this. A payment must be made for sin. The Bible teaches that either we will pay for our sin forever in hell, or that the sacrificial death of Jesus upon the cross pays for our sin, and we are set from for experiencing God’s wrath. Good news! 

†  Jesus Christ saves us from a wasted life!  All of us have a longing for purpose. Deep down we want to make a difference with our life. Jesus transforms us into people who go about making the world a better place! A church is a group that encourages obedience from one another, and that obedience makes us better spouses, citizens, coworkers, parents, and more! 

† Jesus Christ saves us from wanting to sin! None of us has to learn to sin. We are born with a nature that tends to move away from God’s way of doing things, not toward it. We display our sinful nature through pride, lust, and laziness. But once we accept Christ as our Lord, Savior, and Friend, we are set free from this bondage and begin practicing obedience rather than practicing sin. 

So, have you been saved from God’s wrath? A wasted life? Saved from wanting to sin? You can be! Even now as you read this, 

Ask God for a new heart. 

Thank Him for sending His only Son to die on the cross for your sins and in your place. 

Chose to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.
